A Virtuoso is one who is highly skilled, wielding specific knowledge in a particular field. Therefore our Company’s MISSION is to constantly emulate the Virtuoso. This shows up through our aim to continuously sharpen our skills, while simultaneously serving our clients, our community and our environment. We are a portrait of function, sustainability and aesthetic brilliance. ​

THE TEAM

EUHON EDEN DARLING – The founder of Virtuoso Architect started the company in in Sept.  2014. He had over 24 years of experience in the field of Architecture and Construction and Master in Architecture. He was a third generation Virtuoso with his late grandfather serving as a construction manager and his father being a project manager and engineer. He held a Masters in Architecture from the Caribbean School of Architecture, University of Technology, Jamaica. He was also a certified project Manager (ASAPM).

He played a pivotal role in the design for work on the following Projects: - The Merion Apartments - 76 Towers - 20 South - Medinah 21 - Fontana Waterloo - 30 Hope Commercial Complex - Tri7 Business Centre - Papine & Constant Spring Service Station - Bert’s Auto Parts - Belmont One Offices - Buckfield Commercial - Hyundai Old Hope Road

HORACE H. MATTHEWS - MANAGING DIRECTOR

HORACE HUGO MATTHEWS Jnr. M.Arch; R.A. has over 20 years experience in the field of architecture and construction industry. He holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Architecture (2001) from the Caribbean School of Architecture, University of Technology, Jamaica. After working for four years for one of the largest civil engineering companies in the Caribbean, he then He achieved his Masters of Architecture, attaining the best academic performance for both years. He earned qualification as a Registered Architect in Jamaica. He has designed projects such as 129 Pro, Phoenix Central and 19 Tres Vista Apartments.Hugo is very astute in his knowledge and application of architecture amplified by his sharp eye for details. His competence extends to areas of contract administration and project management, roles which he has excelled in, resulting in a number of well executed residential and commercial projects. In his management of teams of designers as well as construction crews, he always gains their respect while never forgetting to reciprocate.Leadership positions are not unfamiliar, as he has reprised such status in whatever area of influence he traverses. As a former president of the Rotary Club, Trafalgar New Heights, he remains focused, motivated and passionate about the pursuit of knowledge.

SHELDON O. MORRIS - DIRECTOR

SHELDON OMARI MORRIS M. Arch; has over 20 years of experience in the field of Architecture. He is the newest director of Virtuoso Architect after joining the company’s directorship in September 2018. Sheldon is a past student of The Wolmer’s Boy School and a graduate of the Caribbean school of Architecture His architectural designs portfolio includes Art Studios – Edna Manley School of Visual Arts; Jamaica Stock Exchange Annex; Harloe’s Place, Apartment Complex 10 Surbiton Road, Kingston 10; St. James Park Commercial Complex, 12 West Kings House Road, Kingston; Parkhurst One, 6 Storey Multifamily Complex, 1 Parkhurst Drive, Kingston 10; 76 Tower- 6 Storey Modern Office Complex76 Half Way Tree Road, Kingston.Sheldon’s designs speak a contemporary language, integrating an international architectural clarity with the architectural merit of the local Jamaican vernacular. He firmly believes that a structure should not just be aesthetically pleasing, but shine through its character, while linking the past to the present and pointing a cultural compass to the future.This young architect describes his architecture as innovative, controlled, measured, fluent, sharp and neat. “Designing is not a task, it is a passion.” Sheldon explains.
